Delaware County

This blog wraps up a series of six posts highlighting Benton Co and the 5 surrounding counties. Delaware county is located in North East Oklahoma and is home to the Grand Lake. The Grand Lake offers water sports, fishing, camping, restaurants on the lake, and fun!

The Cherokee Queen is a way to enjoy Grand Lake without having to navigate a boat. The Cherokee Queen offers dinner and dance cruises on the weekends!

Thrill seekers should check out D-Day Adventure Park. They are in their 15th year of operation and offer paint ball, airsoft, and off roading. D-Day Adventure Park hosts Oklahoma D-Day, which is the World's Largest Paintball Event.

Delaware County is home to Lendonwood Gardens, a six acre botanical garden. Lendonwood has six different gardens with different themes for each one. They offer self and guided tours.

Darryl Starbird's National Rod and Custom Car Hall of Fame Museum is home to 50 exotic and custom built vehicles.  If cars aren't your thing, you could visit Har-Ber Village. This is an antique village that was established in 1968; most of the buildings and materials were found locally.

Did you know that Historic Route 66 runs through Delaware County? Take a drive and explore!
